Dogs Again

Chuck Again, 6x6 oil. I did Chuck twice before, but was asked to do him one more time. The owner never the original one, but some dog loving folks did. SOLD

Looking Up, oil 6x6. This is a dog looking up.... does it work? The dog is at an angle so one side is shown more then the other and I'm not sure it comes off. Fun to paint.

Field with Purple Flowers

Field with Purple Flowers, 20"x20" Oil. This was done from a smaller painting I did for the 50 paintings in 50 days show. I did this with a hardware 1 and 2 inch paint brush and tried to stay loose. The photo came from a fellow artist, Stacy, she took it on one of her many walks in the bay area.

Going South on Hwy 101

Going South on Hwy 101, Oil 6 x 6. This is from a photo I took from my car window as I was driving down highway 101 going to San Lusio Obispo. I tried to make it simple with a few shapes and a few colors, like what I saw in the landscape.

Another Apple

Apples, Oil 5 x 5. I have been doing a painting a day for 50 days for a show I am in, so today I decided to do an apples. I needed a break. The apples are from a tree outside my studio, apples are great to paint and are good practice.

Bill

Bill, Oil 18"x18". This was done with my left hand, not the hand I normally paint with. This was also painted with a dollar paint brush from the hardware store. This is loose and the way I love to paint, I can't always get there, maybe I should always paint with my left hand. Bill is a dog I have painted many time, from different photos. He was a wonderful old dog that had really great poses. His owner bought two painting of him from me,  I continue to paint him from different photos she gave me, rest in peace Bill.
